PROJECT/ACTIVITY
Conduct a class census by preparing a questionnaire. The questionnaire should contain minimum five questions. Questions should relate to students, their family members, their class performance, their health, etc. Each student is required to fill in the questionnaire. Compile the information in numerical terms (in terms of percentage). Present the information through pie-chart, bar-diagram or in any other way.
Part 1: The Questionnaire
Class Census Questionnaire
Family Size: How many members are there in your family? (Options: 1-4, 5-6, more than 6)
Education: How many hours do you spend on self-study daily? (Options: 0-2 hours, 2-4 hours, more than 4 hours)
Health: Do you participate in physical exercise or sports daily? (Options: Yes / No)
Academic Performance: Which was your percentage in the last terminal examination? (Options: Above 80%, 60-80%, below 60%)
Health Status: Have you missed school due to illness more than twice in the last 3 months? (Options: Yes / No)
Part 2: Sample Compilation (Numerical Terms)
Note: Assuming a class of 40 students, here is how you can compile the data in percentages:
| Question | Category | Number of Students | Percentage |
| Family Size | 1-4 Members | 20 | 50% |
| 5-6 Members | 15 | 37.5% | |
| More than 6 | 5 | 12.5% | |
| Study Hours | 2-4 Hours | 24 | 60% |
| Daily Sports | Yes | 30 | 75% |
| Performance | Above 80% | 12 | 30% |
| Health | No illness | 32 | 80% |
Part 3: Presentation (How to draw)
To present this information:
Pie-Chart: Use a pie chart to show "Family Size" or "Daily Sports participation." For example, 75% of the circle will be "Yes" and 25% will be "No" for the sports question.
Bar-Diagram: Use a bar diagram to show "Study Hours" or "Academic Performance." Draw bars representing the percentage of students in each category (e.g., a bar up to 60 for 2-4 hours of study).
Instructions for you:
Copy the Questionnaire and distribute it to your classmates.
Once you get the answers, count them and calculate the Percentage using this formula:
(Number of students in category ÷ Total students in class) × 100Draw the charts on a practical sheet based on your actual class data.
